The Pulmonary Care Unit is a 9 bed intermediate care unit that provides care for patients who require a higher level of monitoring than provided on the floors.  The PCU accepts transfers from the ICU, PACU, ED and other facilities and specializes in advanced cardiopulmonary care.     A multidisciplinary team consists of RNs, who are trained in critical care, patient care associates and unit secretaries who assist the RNs in their daily care, and other trained disciplines including dedicated respiratory therapists and a dietician.
