Rehabilitation Services at Saint Vincent Hospital
After an illness or injury it’s important for a patient to know that they have a group of dedicated and licensed professionals readily available to help reduce the pain and to restore body function. Enter the Rehabilitation Services Team at Saint Vincent Hospital. With over 340 years of experience between them, their services are available in a variety of locations, seven days a week, to help support the recovery of their patients.
Rehabilitative Services are provided to both in and outpatients. Depending on the situation and the preference of the patients, care can take place at the bedside (inpatient), or at the hospital’s 3rd floor outpatient treatment center (Suite 332), at Worcester Fitness (located on the 6th floor), or offsite at our satellite facility located in the Worcester Fitness Health Club on Grove Street.
“The team of professionals that I have working for me is the true key to success for our department,” notes Jana Griffin-Koehler, Director of Rehabilitation Services. “They are a highly skilled group of therapists and ancillary support that consistently strive to provide the best care to each and every patient. They collaborate among themselves as well as with the physician in order to achieve the best outcome. I am truly honored to be associated with such an experienced and dedicated team here at Saint Vincent Hospital.”
Whether it’s a high school athlete recovering from a sprained ankle, a post-surgery patient learning to adjust to a knee replacement, or a young child striving to overcome a speech impediment, it is the job of the team’s physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to work together—in conjunction with the physician—to bring about the best result.
