Clinical Drug Research Center

Saint Vincent Hospital has been a participant in multi-national clinical trials for the past 21 years.  Within the past decade, the Clinical Drug Research Center (CDRC) at Saint Vincent Hospital was established for the purpose of providing the medical staff and our patients a full-service inpatient/outpatient research center.

Participating in clinical research allows our medical staff to provide patient access to some of the latest medical therapies, many of which may be covered financially by the research sponsors.

The CDRC currently offers ongoing clinical trials in the following areas:

  • Oncology (Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma)
  • Cardiology (Statin/Antibiotic therapy in acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina/heart attack))
  • Infectious Disease (Antibiotic therapy for community acquired pneumonia)
  • Neurology (Narcolepsy with cataplexy)
  • Pulmonary (Long-acting inhaler for asthma)

For more information on current research protocols at Saint Vincent Hospital, please call the Clinical Drug Research Center at (508) 363-7018.
