Experts in the use of antibiotic drugs, the physicians in this division focus not only on the treatment of adults with a remarkable range of infections, but they also emphasize disease prevention for a variety of patient populations, including travelers, healthcare workers, and geriatric patients. In addition, the physicians in this division supervise the activities of the Infusion Center, where outpatients can receive long-term, antimicrobial therapy for the management of complex diseases such as osteomyelitis and infectious endocarditis. Renowned as educators, these physicians have been the recipients of many teaching awards; their research interests focus on antibiotic usage.
