Urology
The urology staff at Saint Vincent Hospital performs a large number of urologic procedures per year, including minor cystoscopic procedures, as well as major prostate and kidney procedures.
Surgery consists of a full range of cystoscopic, endourologic, and urodynamic procedures with special emphasis on minimally invasive procedures such as the da Vinci® prostatectomy. This division is enhanced by laser lithotripsy, which with ultrasound capability that help break kidney stones without the need for surgical intervention, and recently laparoscopic urologic surgery is gaining prominence as well.
