  1. Tennis Elbow

    Thursday, March 18, 2010 - 6:00 p.m.

    Doyle Conservation Center

    464 Abbott Avenue, Leominster, MA

    Tennis Elbow

You Don’t Have to Play Tennis to Get It!

The muscles you use to bend your wrist backward are delicate, so it’s easy to strain them from a number of activities. If you strain them enough – through playing golf, hammering a nail, or any other wrist-intensive activity – these muscles and tendons will swell painfully along your whole forearm, with the pain concentrated around your elbow, creating what we commonly call -Y΄tennis elbow.‘

Join orthopedic surgeon Dr. Robert Terrill, as he explores ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat tennis elbow.

This is a free program. To register, please call 877-554-3258.

    Light refreshments will be served.

  2. Peripheral Artery Disease

    Thursday, April 29, 2010 - 6:00 p.m.

    Doyle Conservation Center, Leominster, MA

If you have leg pain, cramping, or slow or non-healing wounds on the legs, feet, or toes you may be one of the 8 to 12 million Americans with Peripheral Arterial Disease or PAD.

Caused by a narrowing of blood flow to the arms and legs, PAD, if left untreated, can result in chronic pain, ulcers, gangrene, and even amputation of the feet and legs. It can also significantly increase your risk for heart attack and stroke. If you have one or more of the risk factors for PAD – cigarette smoking, diabetes, obesity, physical inactivity and/or high cholesterol – and are concerned about pain in your lower legs, then we invite you to attend this program.

Learn how early diagnosis and treatment can prevent peripheral artery disease from getting worse as vascular surgeon Dr. John Najjar shares the latest techniques available for PAD.

This is a free program. To register, please call 877-554-3258.
    Light refreshments will be served.

John Najjar, MD, received his medical degree from American University of Beirut, and completed his residency and Vascular Surgery fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Najjar’s special interests include endovascular aneurysm repair, minimally invasive vascular and vein surgery, and carotid surgery. He is board certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
