Physicians are members of the medical staff at one or more of St. Vincent Hospital affiliated hospitals. However, some of these physicians are independent contractors who are neither employees nor agents of those hospitals or of St. Vincent Hospital, as a result, none of these hospitals nor St. Vincent Hospital is responsible for the acts of these physicians in their private medical practices.
