Do you have Hazel Berry's tingling fingers?

If you've developed numbness in your fingertips, and it's become difficult to use your hands, you can probably empathize with Hazel Berry. As a Worcester police officer for 30 years, Hazel spent over five hours a day typing police reports which took a toll on her hands. At first, Hazel thought her symptoms were signs of a heart attack. But the
investigative work of Saint Vincent Hospital pointed to carpal tunnel syndrome.
Hazel explains, "I needed to have surgery on both hands which made me really nervous.
But the nursing staff and doctors put me right at ease and helped me keep my sense of
humor—both before and after the operation. There's such a nice personal feel to the
hospital. You walk in as a person, not a number."
Two weeks after her surgery, Hazel gained the feeling back in her fingers and a new
appreciation for the hospital that solved her case.
