The Food and Nutrition Services Department, managed by Morrison Management Specialists, has a mission to provide nutritionally sound, quality controlled, satisfying and appetizing meals to patients, employees and visitors. Care is provided in a multidisciplinary manner, in collaboration with the other members of the care team, which includes, but is not limited to, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, speech therapists, physical therapists, social services and discharge planners.

A Registered Dietitian is available in the acute-care facility:

  • 7 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday
  • 8 AM – 4 PM on weekends and holidays
Outpatient nutrition care is available 16 hours per week and is scheduled to meet the time availability of the patient and the practitioner.

The department of 85 is responsible for the patient meals at St Vincent Hospital as well as the patients on the Vernon Hill campus. In addition, we have the All Spice Café! This is our retail operation that offers a variety of food selections to staff, visitors and volunteers seven days a week. Hours of operation Monday through Friday are 7 AM–7 PM. Weekend hours of operation are 7 AM- 2 PM. We are proud to have many customers from the community coming to the All Spice Café on a regular basis for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner! You can enjoy a freshly made deli sandwich at our deli, a grilled chicken sandwich from our grill or a made to order taco salad at our expo station. Salmon, rotisserie chicken and our homemade calzones are also a favorite.

Catering to You is Morrison’s patient dining service designed specifically to support patients’ health, quality of life, and the recovery process during their hospitalization. Our menu has expanded to include regional and international favorites, as well as, good old “comfort foods” such as homemade macaroni and cheese and a roast turkey dinner.
