Program Description
A cardiovascular team comprehensively assesses each patient and develops an appropriate treatment plan consisting of education, physical activity, supervision and counseling.

Multidisciplinary Team
The multidisciplinary team at the Center functions under direction of John Ferullo, M.D., Medical Director for the program. Paul Roland, R.N., M.S.N., serves as program coordinator. Other Team Members include:
- Rehabilitation Nurses
- Exercise Physiologist
- Cardiologist/Medical Director
The Facility
The Cardiovascular Prevention Program is located in Worcester Medical Center. The Center has a comfortable climate controlled exercise area which includes telemetry for cardiac monitoring, treadmills, bikes, weights and other cardiovascular equipment. The Center also has a spacious classroom for education and full shower facilities.
Enrolling in the Program
The program is designed to assist patients and their physicians in management of cardiovascular disease. Patients wishing to enter the program should discuss their desire to improve their cardiovascular health with their physician who can then make the appropriate referral. Patients who have had a heart attack, angioplasty or similar procedure, or bypass surgery may benefit from the Center's resources and should speak to their physician to learn more about the program.
