In the past several years, there has been significant emphasis on the Urology staff at Saint Vincent Hospital performs a large number of urologic procedures per year, including minor cystoscopic procedures, as well as major prostate and kidney procedures.
Surgery consists of a full range of cystoscopic, endourologic, and urodynamic procedures with special emphasis on minimally invasive procedures such as the da Vinci® prostatectomy.

The surgical staff has considerable experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, common bile duct explorations, appendectomy, colectomy, adrenalectomy, nephrectomy, Nissen fundoplication and other procedures, in addition to expanded clinical research in the area to develop new products and techniques in order to allow Saint Vincent Hospital to serve as a major resource center for this form of surgery.
