Michael A. O'Shea, M.D. is the Director of the Division of Thoracic Surgery Department at Saint Vincent Hospital.
His team includes two highly trained, board certified, Thoracic Surgeons. They provide a complete range of the most modern techniques and procedures available in a well established, progressive division of Thoracic Surgery. These include major full Open Thoracotomy for resection of complex lung tumors, and Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery (V.A.T.S.) for minimally invasive surgery; Endoscopy of the Trachea and Bronchus, including Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) biopsies for Mediastinal pathology. The Surgeons are intimately involved in the leadership of the well established Saint Vincent Hospital Lung Cancer Center. The latter provides prompt and total multidisciplinary care to all patients with a diagnosis of Lung Cancer.
