Welcome to Saint Vincent Hospital's Division of Cardiac Surgery.

Since performing the first open heart surgery in Worcester in 1959, Saint Vincent Hospital has established a long tradition of advancement in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Building and expanding upon our legacy of leadership in cardiac surgery, Saint Vincent Hospital is one of 14 hospitals licensed in Massachusetts to perform coronary bypass surgery. 

Surgical results, analyzed by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Massachusetts Data Analysis Center, have shown that the observed surgical outcomes over the past three years have been significantly better than the state average.
