Center For Women And Infants

State-of-the-art Care for You and Your Baby

Saint Vincent Hospital’s Center for Women and Infants at Worcester Medical Center is a new facility opened in April 2000. As a state-of-the-art facility, it is fully equipped with private LDRs (labor, delivery and recovery rooms) and spacious, private postpartum rooms, fetal monitors, and obstetrical ultrasound. More importantly, the Center has a highly skilled team of obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, obstetrical and postpartum nurses, as well as highly skilled neonatologists, pediatricians, and nursery nurses who are present for high-risk deliveries and to care for your baby.

Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center is also an active participant in a regional network for care of high-risk mothers and infants.

Childbirth Preparation Classes

At the Center for Women and Infants, staff encourages parents and families to be actively involved in the birth experience and with their newborn’s care. To support this family-centered approach, a wide variety of childbirth preparation classes are offered: childbirth preparation, childbirth refresher, cesarean childbirth, vaginal childbirth after cesarean, sibling preparation, father-to-be, breastfeeding, prenatal exercise, newborn care and CPR, and maternity tours.

If you have any questions about any of the programs call our Childbirth Education office at 508-363-9112.
