Saint Vincent Hospital Physician Services

A multi-specialty group practice, Saint Vincent Physician Services (SVPS) provides selected physician and allied health professional services at Saint Vincent Hospital. The activities of SVPS are coordinated with the hospital and integrated into the hospital’s overall strategic plan.

Services

Among the services provided to physicians and allied health professionals in SVPS are included the following:

• A compensation plan with a base salary and bonus component
• Contracting with insurance companies and other third party payers
• Comprehensive billing and collection services
• Support to ensure compliance with the regulatory expectations of Medicare, Medicaid and other federal and state agencies

Governance

The CEO of Saint Vincent Hospital is also the President of SVPS. This relationship ensures productive collaboration and focused initiatives by the two entities. The Executive Director of SVPS is responsible for all operations. An Executive Council reviews all aspects of SVPS. The Council includes the President, Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Medicine, Chief of Surgery and Chief of Anesthesiology.
