Today the Joint Commission accredits approximately 4,250 organizations, including:

  • Children’s hospitals
  • Long-term acute hospitals
  • Psychiatric hospitals
  • Rehabilitation hospitals
  • Surgical specialty hospitals

The Joint Commission currently accredits approximately 88 percent of the nation’s hospitals.
