In addition to patient care, we support education, research, and management/administrative decision-making. Patients and their families also may use the library during normal business hours. Non-staff users should call in advance to confirm that a library staff member will be available to assist them.

Book and Journal Collection

We have a clinically focused collection of many electronic books and journals available via our computers. The books in our circulating collection may be checked-out by employees and staff members.

The library provides services to assist users in finding and obtaining materials. Using our print collection or one of the many databases and electronic resources we have available, library users can identify specific books and journal articles to answer their questions.

The electronic resources are available for staff via computers throughout the hospital, as well as remotely from home or office using their CITRIX account. For consumers, we have a selection of both print and electronic resources available in the library.

The library is staffed Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. After-hours access is available for employees and staff members through their programmed I-disc.

The library is located in Room 200, on the second floor of the South end of Saint Vincent Hospital.
