Emergency Department.

Volunteers over the age of 18 have the opportunity to serve as a communication link, support person and mediator between medical staff, patients and family members. Volunteers will visit each patient’s room to inquire if patients and their families have any specific needs, such as, a book, magazine, extra blanket, pillow or request to speak with their physician or nurse. 

Center for Women & Infants.

Volunteers serve as receptionists at the front desk.

Teen/College Volunteers.

We welcome students age 16 and older to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours within a full school year or calendar year. Volunteers in our Teen/ College Program have previously assisted in many different areas such as our North and South Greeter stations, collating packets, activity cart, filing and more. 

Summer Teen Program.

High school students age 15-17 years old are welcome to apply for our Summer Teen Program.  This is a seven week program designed for high school students to volunteer once a week for 3 hours in a specific department and gain valuable experience in a hospital environment.  The Summer Teen Program runs from July 11th through August 19th.  Openings are limited.  Deadline for applications is May 2nd.
