Application Criteria

We offer categorical and preliminary positions in Internal Medicine.

Applications will be accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) administered by the Association of American Colleges (AAMC).  We are unable to accept telephone, paper, or email applications.

All Applications Must Include:

  • USMLE scores
  • Three letters of reference
  • Personal statement
  • Medical school transcripts (international transcripts must be translated)
  • ECFMG certificate
  • Curriculum vitae or resume. Note: There cannot be “gaps” in training or work since graduation.
  • Recent photo (optional)
  • Although we do not have pre-established criteria for the date of medical school graduation, candidates who have graduated more than two years ago should reflect evidence of meaningful, ongoing continuing medical education in their application.

International Application Requirements

International applicants must meet the following additional requirements:

  • Applicants must report scores for USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2, and USMLE Step 2CS.
  • ECFMG certification must be verified.
  • Applicants must be eligible for Massachusetts Medical Licensure as well as J1 visa sponsorship.

How to Apply

Applications are processed and accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS) website. Once you have determined that you meet the program’s criteria, you are ready to apply. The deadline for submitting applications to ERAS is December 31st. Please note that we are unable to accept telephone, paper, or email applications.

When applying please use the following program identification codes:

  • 3-Year Categorical Internal Medicine (NRMP #1290140C0)
  • 1- Year Preliminary Year (NRMP #1290140P0)

U.S. Medical School Graduates
Please contact your medical school’s student affairs office or other designated dean’s office. Your dean’s office will provide you with the information and the software for ERAS. 

Canadian Medical School Graduates
Please contact the Canadian Resident Matching Service, 151 Slater Street, Suite 802, Ottawa, Ontario, K1P-5H3 Canada, or call (613) 237-0075 for ERAS processing information.

International/Foreign Medical School Graduates
Please contact the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for application materials and eligibility requirement.
