QUINSIGAMOND COMMUNITY COLLEGE in Worcester has received the President’s Award for Excellence from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care for its registered respiratory therapist credentialing program. Respiratory care therapists require the credentialing to serve in healthcare facilities. For three consecutive years, 100% of QCC students enrolled in the program earned the credential.

ERA Key Realty Services of Whitinsville hired OLIVIA BIRRI as a new Realtor. She has experience as a special education instructional assistant, career development specialist, behavior technician, and respite provider at schools and treatment centers in Franklin, Worcester, Grafton, Milford and Berlin.

TIGHE & BOND in Westfield has received the 2023 Employer of the Year Award from the Boston Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. The award recognizes company culture at companies in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction for commitment to diversity and inclusion, initiatives fostering workplace community, outreach efforts, and support of staff.

Fletcher Tilton in Worcester has hired real estate attorney MATTHEW ECKEL. He was previously an attorney at Drago + Toscano in Boston. Eckel holds a bachelor's degree from UMass Amherst and earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
CARLA McCALL, managing partner of AAFCPAs in Westborough, has been named vice chair of the board for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. McCall has also been awarded as one of the 2023 Most Powerful Women in Accounting, jointly administered by the AICPA and CPA Practice Advisor. McCall holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bentley University in Waltham.

Nichols College in Dudley has brought on STEVE WOJNAR as director of public safety, to lead emergency response. Wojnar most recently served as chief of the Dudley Police Department.
ANDREA HEALY has joined Green Leaf Construction in Leominster as director of human resources and compliance. She was previously first senior vice president, chief administrative and human resources officer at North Brookfield Savings Bank. Healy holds an MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton and is pursuing a law degree at Western New England University School of Law in Springfield.

Dr. APURVA SHAH has been named chief of obstetrics, gynecology and pediatrics at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. In this role, he will oversee clinical functions of the departments and develop protocol improvements. Shah is a practicing OB/GYN at the hospital, specializing in robotic surgical procedures. He earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery from Grant Government Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, India before completing a residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical School in New York and fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

WILLIAM MAHONEY has been promoted to senior vice president and financial consultant at Rockland Trust. In this role, he will look at long-term client solutions. Mahoney has been at the bank since 2017 and previously in advisory roles at TIAA and American Express. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and master’s degree from Harvard University.

KEN BATES, president and CEO of Open Sky Community Services in Worcester, has been reelected to the board of directors for the statewide nonprofit organization Association for Behavioral Healthcare, where he will serve as chair. Bates will serve a two-year term on the 15-member board. Bates holds a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University and a master’s degree from Assumption University in Worcester.

UMass Memorial Health – Harrington has added MADELINE LANE as a nurse practitioner. Lane will work at the system’s Sturbridge Family Medicine Practice. Lane is a graduate of the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester and completed her training hours at Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester.

DONNA FLANNERY of ERA Key Realty Services of Northbridge has been awarded the Commonwealth Heroine Award from The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. She received the award in a ceremony on June 23 in Boston. Flannery is a real estate agent in the firm’s Spencer office and holds a degree from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
