Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center Appoint New Market Chief Strategy Officer

Worcester, Mass. and Framingham, Mass.  – April 17, 2023 – Connie Malave Branyan, MPH, is appointed the new Market Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for both Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center, Tenet Healthcare’s Massachusetts market. As CSO, Branyan will lead the strategic planning, service line development, and new business venture efforts to support a regional strategy of growth and expansion for Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center.

“Connie is an experienced healthcare strategist who brings a deep understanding of programmatic growth and strategic development to Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center,” Carolyn Jackson, Chief Executive Officer, Saint Vincent Hospital and Massachusetts Market for Tenet Healthcare. “Her passion and expertise coupled with her substantial experience in growth and development will be invaluable as we execute on plans to increase access to our award-winning services for the communities we serve.”

Branyan comes to Massachusetts from Stamford Health in Stamford, CT, where she served as the Executive Director, Strategy and Business Development for the independent, regional health system with over 40 locations. During her role, she set strategic direction for the organization while collaborating with leadership to develop strategic plans, programs, and strategic partnerships to drive growth and transformation. She also developed and co-led the organization’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy. Prior to that, Branyan served as the Director of Strategy and Program Development at Yale Medicine where she helped develop and launch programs that strengthened brand reputation and enhanced patient care.

Branyan is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and earned her Master of Public Health degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She also completed a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Health Economics Research from Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis, Indiana.
