Saint Vincent Hospital Is the Only Hospital in Worcester That Receives an ‘A’ From the Fall 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades
Nov 7, 2019Saint Vincent Hospital receives an “A” rating in The Leapfrog Group’s fall 2019 Safety Score, demonstrating the hospital’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Score is a rating system designed to give consumers information they can use to make healthcare decisions for themselves or a loved one. The Leapfrog Group assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals based on their ability to prevent errors, injuries, accidents and infections.

Developed under the guidance of a national Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year. The Hospital Safety Grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public.
