Saint Vincent Hospital Names Nurse of the Month Winner
Oct 1, 2018Worcester, MA – September 31 – Saint Vincent Hospital in Massachusetts is proud to name Ben Prendiville as the September 2018 Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses Recipient.
Prendiville is a Holden, Massachusetts resident. He began his nursing career at Saint Vincent Hospital in August 2016 and currently works as a nurse on the cardiac step-down unit.
Prendiville was nominated for the award by multiple patients and colleagues. One patient wrote “Ben went above and beyond and was very thorough. He made me feel very comfortable and safe.” On colleague wrote “Ben jumps into action when anyone needs help. He stays calm, cool and collected.”

The Daisy Award was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, a cancer patient who lost his battle after a brief period of time. The family was so impressed with the care and compassion the staff showed Patrick, they stated a foundation to have a way to honor nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence in a caring and compassionate manor.
