Saint Vincent Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Michele Sinopoli to Chair Central Mass.’s AHA Heart and Stroke Ball

Feb 14, 2024

Michele Sinopoli, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Saint Vincent Hospital, will chair this year’s Central Massachusetts Heart and Stroke Ball, which will be held Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at Mechanics Hall in Worcester.

The annual Heart and Stroke Ball celebrates progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association’s Heart of Central Massachusetts campaign, a year-round effort aimed at driving change, funding science, and improving the health of everyone in our community. As Heart and Stroke Ball chair, Dr. Sinopoli is leading a team of area corporate executives and medical professionals working to recruit companies to support this lifesaving work.

“I am eager to work with the outstanding team of volunteers and leaders at the American Heart Association as we all advocate to save lives from heart disease and stroke in Central Massachusetts and beyond,” said Dr. Sinopoli. “Together, we must continue to strive to do whatever we can to make a lasting impact on cardiovascular health.”

In her role at Saint Vincent Hospital, Dr. Sinopoli collaborates with hospital physician leaders and medical staff to develop and implement comprehensive clinical quality and patient safety initiatives. She earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Most recently, Dr. Sinopoli earned her MBA from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

This year’s event is focused on helping people control their blood pressure, training individuals to perform CPR and use a defibrillator, and increasing access to healthy food in areas where it’s hard to find. This will ensure more people have the chance to live a full and healthy life.

“I am very proud of our heart team physicians and staff for their dedication to our cardiac patients and am honored to chair this year’s event,” says Dr. Sinopoli.
