Saint Vincent Hospital Cardiology Fellows Win National ACC FIT Jeopardy Championship
Worcester, Mass. – Saint Vincent Hospital is proud to announce that its cardiology fellowship team has earned first place nationally in the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) FIT Jeopardy competition, held during the ACC Annual Scientific Session in New Orleans, one of the premier gatherings in cardiovascular medicine.
Fellows in Training Pablo Ledesma, MD, Kannu Bansal, MD, and Adam Doerr, MD represented Saint Vincent Hospital and the Massachusetts Chapter of the ACC, competing against top teaching institutions from across the country. The team rose to the top after several rounds of fast‑paced, highly competitive play. It’s a high-energy, game show-style competition that pushes participants to demonstrate expertise across the full spectrum of cardiology.
Also present in support of the team were Bonnie Weiner, MD, the Director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at Saint Vincent Hospital, and Michelle Hadley, MD, Governor and President for the Massachusetts ACC Chapter.
“This first place prestigious national finish is an exciting achievement for our trainees and a strong reflection of the excellence of the Saint Vincent Hospital cardiology fellowship program and our cardiology department,” said Dr. Hadley. “Winning at this level highlights the fellows’ clinical knowledge, teamwork, and commitment to academic excellence.”

It reflects the strength of our cardiology fellowship program, the dedication of the faculty, and the commitment the trainees bring to their education. Their teamwork, clinical knowledge, and passion for learning were evident throughout the competition.
