Visitation

Hospital Visitation: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
ICU Visitation: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

1. EMERGENCY

  • One designated visitor allowed if patient is in a private room
    • Patients not in a private room – designated visitation allowed at the discretion of the charge nurse or treating physician (intermittent visitation may be granted based on public safety)

2. INPATIENT AREAS

  • Visitors under the age of 18 will be able to visit when accompanied by an adult 

    3. OUTPATIENT AREAS

    • Visitors allowed to accompany patient to appointment

    4. CENTER FOR WOMEN AND INFANTS

    • Labor & Delivery
      • 2 healthy consistent designated support persons
    • Mother-Baby
      • Healthy consistent support person and 2 additional visitors at one time
      • Visitors may switch but only a total of 2 at a time with support person
      • No children under 18 unless they are a sibling of the new baby are considered a support person for the patient (age 16+)
      • COVID-19 positive patients may have a designated support person but will be restricted to the patient’s room during the patient’s stay

    5. EXCEPTIONS MAY APPLY IN SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES

    • End of life situations
    • Patients under the age of 18
    • Patients who need a support person for cognitive or physical reasons

    Masking Guidance

    • Visitors and Patients WITH respiratory symptoms are required to wear a mask. i.e., cough, runny-nose, sore throat, fever and/or a potentially contagious illness that can be spread by breathing or coughing
    • Masks continue to be available

    Visitation restrictions may be implemented or adjusted in alignment with Saint Vincent Hospital Infection Control policies to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff. Additional visitation guidance may be provided at the nursing unit level based on the complexity of patients being cared for at that time.
