Tina Chen, PA-C has been practicing as a Physician Assistant since 2006. Tina has had extensive experience in the field of cardiology working closely with physicians to improve patient care for cardiac health issues. These include treating abnormal heart rhythms, heart failure, cardiovascular risk management, lipid management, hypertension, and working with innovative medical devices. Tina finds the field of cardiology rewarding with the continuous advancements in heart health. As part of her approach, she strives to put the patient and their family at the forefront of medical decisions. “It is important to build a relationship on trust and understanding. My previous Cardiologist, Dr. Mazen Roumia, has left St V's. This was my first visit and meeting with Doctor Chen as my replacement cardiologist. Given my fondness and trust in Dr Roumia I was very hopeful Dr Chen would be able to step intro the role with that same level of trust. She was very reassuring in manner, skill and obvious understanding of her medical specialty, I believe this new care giver will earn that same level of trust.

I cannot speak highly enough about PA Chen's ability to listen, reassuring demeanor, and expertise. She included me in my care, giving me the sense that I had choices, while presenting me with all alternatives. She also said she would go "low and slow" when titrating my medication schedule.
