Joseph Provost PA-C is a nationally certified Physician Assistant and a current Advanced Practice Provider member of the American Urological Association. He underwent most of his Physician Assistant clinical rotations at Saint Vincent Hospital and his training included time with the Urology Department. Joseph has prior Urology experience at a busy practice in Springfield and is excited to provide urologic care to his local community. He is proficient in diagnosing, managing, and delivering treatment plans for mulitple urologic conditions. His goal is to provide compassionate , comprehensive individualized care with an emphasis on prevention and management through healthy lifestyle choices. Joseph believes that open communication and trust are the cornerstone to a successful patient/provider relationship.

The physician assistant who tended to my medical concerns was informed of my case history, but the focus was on my frequent difficulty of urination as a result of the radiation of the prostate in December of 2023 at the Cancer and Wellness Center of St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Dr. Lin , the radiation/ oncolgist supervised the radiology technicians, who radiated my prostate as a result of the elevated PSA levels. Also the full scans of my abdomen by UMASS Memorial technicians at Shrewsbury Shrewsbury Street of Worcester resulted in a confirmation of the presence of cancer in my prostate gland. Previously I also had RCHOPS chemotherapy, which was supervised by Dr. Rooney, the oncologist of Reliant Medical Center The lymphoma was detected by a scan prior to my admission to St. Vincent Hospital of downtown Worcster in 2019. Additionally I have insulin dependent diabetes which has necessitated the services of the medical staff affiliated with Dr. Richard Haas of the Ambulatory Care Clinic of the UMASS MEDICAL CAMPUS. Additionally, the medical staff of U Mass Medical Center prescribe sodium levothyroxine for Hashimoto Thyroiditis. The Hashimoto Thyroiditis was diagnosed by Dr. Alfred Iacobucci in 1971 when I was hospitalized at the St. Vincent Hospital complex of Winthrop Street in Worcester This medical complex was replaced by the St. Vincent Medical Complex of downtown Worcester. I am also a patient of Dr. Parulkar, a urologist/ surgeon who coordinated my surgical and radiation treatment with Dr. Lin of the Cancer and Wellness Center of St Vincent Hospital. Residual effects of the radiation by means of a linear accelerator has not fully resolved the uncomfortable symptoms of the enlarged prostate gland.

Both clinical staff (nurse assistant and PA) wore badges. I am a long-time patient, so I knew them already. I'm sure they washed or sanitized their hands, but I didn't see them do it. The assistant wore gloves to do the ultrasound test.
