Julia studied and earned a bachelors degree in occupational therapy from Barry University. She became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2006, and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2014. Julia has experience working in the acute care and ICU settings, fabricating custom splits for burns, amputations, replantation surgeries, fractures and tissue lacerations. She has been working at St. Vincent Hospital since 2004 specializing in Hand Therapy. Julia has also used her skills as a CLT at the Cancer and Wellness Center, working with patients with breast cancer. Julia has participated in public health initiatives and run community education programs in her years with SVH. Julia also is a private tutor and mentor for OT students currently enrolled in OT programs at local colleges.
