Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Treating Women, Men, and Children

About Pelvic Floor PT

MenWomenChildrenThe pelvic floor is a group of muscles that attach to your pelvis and upper leg that control bowel and bladder function and support your organs. These muscles are also key players in sexual activity, balance and stability. These muscles can become imbalanced which can lead to problems such as pain, reduced bowel and/or bladder control, frequency of urination, and more. Our physical therapists are specially trained in treating the pelvic floor, and most often use a combination of manual techniques and exercises to help re-train the affected muscles and tissues.

If you are experiencing pelvic pain or suffering from bowel or bladder incontinence, Saint Vincent Physical Therapy is the place to go for your rehabilitation needs. We have therapists who are highly trained and specialize in the treatment of female, male, and pediatric pelvic floor dysfunction.

Patients should expect 1:1 treatment in a private room for the entire length of their treatment session. Our caring and compassionate therapists will discuss your pelvic and spine health, and will review all of the treatment options to help you move towards a better quality of life.
