Seamless OR Scheduling

  • ORBIT is a data-enabled platform that supports an integrated booking experience.
  • Schedulers can seamlessly identify available OR blocks and submit booking requests.
  • Booking requests allow for relevant patient documents to be uploaded and transmitted to the OR facility.

Transparency and Communication are Core to ORBIT

  • ORBIT sends email confirmation when the status of booking requests are updated.
  • Surgical case rescheduling requests can be submitted via the ORBIT dashboard.

Managing OR Blocks

  • ORBIT enables simple OR block release functionality.
  • Scheduling teams can view all available OR blocks and release any un-utilized OR blocks at a click of a button.

The platform will prompt nudges to release OR blocks

  • If there are un-utilized blocks, ORBIT will send a notification to schedulers to confirm if the block should be released.
  • Blocks will not be automatically released – a block is released only if it has been authorized by the surgeon’s office.

Track Changes to Booking Requests

  • Easily audit any changes made to OR booking requests.
  • To provide transparency for surgeon offices, ORBIT allows schedulers to track and view any changes that have been made to OR booking requests.

As a surgeon officer scheduler, you will be able to quickly and easily view available surgery times and complete the booking request in minutes.​ The hospital schedulers will receive notification of your request and swiftly review the case – an automated electronic confirmation will be sent to the surgeon office scheduler.
