The Department of Radiology is pleased to announce that the next generation of a Picture Archival and Communications System (PACS) for imaging study review is now available for all users. PACS allows the Department of Radiology to electronically archive all image data.
PACS features diagnostic workstations for soft-copy interpretation by radiologists. Images are available via the Radiology web server on any PC throughout the hospital.* The Department of Radiology also features a voice recognition system that enhances the dictation process and report turnaround time.
How to Access PACS
Hospital and Reliant Medical Group desktops have had the application installed, and the icon looks like a round red dot with the letter “I” in the middle. If you are using a hospital or Reliant computer and you do not see the icon, please call the I.S. Service Center at x25437. Outside of the hospital, PACS is only available via CITRIX.
If you are a new to staff physician who needs CITRIX or PACS access, please contact Medical Staff Services at (508) 363-0452 or (508) 363-6089. If you have had PACS and want to upgrade, please call Howard Klatsky in the Department of Radiology at (508) 363-7775.
