Internal Medicine Residency Program Leadership
Jennifer Sargent, DO, FACP
Dr. Jennifer Sargent is an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Saint Vincent Hospital and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Dr. Sargent is a board certified internist specializing in hospital medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. She completed her residency training at Saint Vincent Hospital and served an additional year as a Chief Resident from 2008 to 2009. She has since worked as a hospitalist for 9 years at Saint Vincent Hospital. Dr. Sargent has served as the physician advisor for Health Information Management since 2011. She is a member of both the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine. She was awarded the Saint Vincent Hospital Hospitalist Program Service Recognition Award in 2011 as well as the Vanguard Health Systems Compassionate Caregiver Award in 2013. She received the Saint Vincent Hospital Department of Medicine Excellence in Inpatient Teaching Award in 2015 and she was the recipient of the Outstanding Coach Award in both 2016 and 2017.
