Learn About Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is a way you can make a difference in the lives of our patients and our community. By donating your time and talent to Saint Vincent Hospital, you can improve lives while enriching your own.
Year-round opportunities for Adults, College Students & Teens
Want something positive and meaningful to do? Adult volunteers are invited to apply year-round for volunteer hours that work with your schedule. You must volunteer a minimum of 50 hours within a full school or calendar year. After class and during school breaks we welcome high school students ages 16-18 years and college volunteers to assist in many different departments throughout our hospital. It’s a great chance to help others, receive valuable experience, make connections and even secure letters of recommendation that may be useful when applying for college or future employment.
To become a Saint Vincent Hospital Volunteer:
- Applicants will be contacted for an interview
- A complete CORI, Health Screening and Orientation must be completed before starting any assignment
- All volunteers are required to wear a SVH Volunteer T-Shirt (which will be provided), proper hospital ID and sign in and out during each shift
All Saint Vincent Hospital applicants must be 16 years of age or older, and will be pre-screened before being offered an assignment. Placements are based on skills, abilities, and availability of positions. Acceptance of applicants is not guaranteed.
