We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies
such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.
We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as
well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and
guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.
Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.

Outpatient Physical Therapy After Joint Replacement
Transitioning to an outpatient Physical Therapy program is an important step following Total Joint Replacement surgery. It is not uncommon for patients to have underlying muscle and joint stiffness following your surgery. Physical Therapy will help with restoring normal joint function to help reduce any future injury to the new joint replacement.
Outpatient Physical Therapy after Joint Replacement Surgery is essential to maximizing your strength and range of motion to ensure you are able to safely resume all normal and fitness activities. Full recovery can take anywhere from 3-6 months and having a therapist to guide you along that recovery process can be invaluable.
Talk with your doctor about getting a referral for an Evaluation at Saint Vincent Physical Therapy and you can be seen at any of our convenient locations.
Our team of experienced Physical Therapists will work one-on-one with you at each treatment session in order to ensure you are progressing and recovering as expected.
Having Surgery at Saint Vincent Hospital? Learn about our Joint Academy
This is a unique program that was designed to meet the needs of the joint replacement patient throughout the continuum of care from pre-op to post-hospitalization.
Our goal is to provide our patients with the best quality care including education, treatment and discharge planning. Your surgeon, our superior healthcare team, and your determination can all work together to reach the best possible patient experience, recovery and outcome.
