Message from the Program Director

At Saint Vincent Hospital, we have been offering high-quality health care to the central Massachusetts area for more than 100 years. This includes offering comprehensive cardiovascular care. We’re proud to offer a cardiology fellowship program to help prepare leaders in the cardiovascular care community.

Our ACGME-accredited general cardiology program provides a rich clinical experience through our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratories, including a new hybrid catheterization lab and noninvasive echocardiography lab where 2-D and 3-D studies, TEEs, exercise stress and dobutamine stress echocardiography are routinely performed. In addition, we have a busy inpatient consult service, an electrophysiology service where a variety of ablations and device implants occur, an active CCU service with daily teaching rounds, Heart Failure and Advanced Imaging rotations take place at  Tufts and UMass Chan. Congenital heart disease is remote teaching from Massachusetts General Hospital with future plans for clinical rotations.

SVH has an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology and that previous graduates of the fellowship have gone on to advanced fellowships at prestigious institutions.

The fellows are an essential part of the division, and our faculty are committed to training the academic leaders of tomorrow. After completing our program, our fellows go on to be top clinicians, and many now serve as leaders of programs at top institutions around the country.
