Message from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in the Sleep Medicine Fellowship here at St. Vincent Hospital!  Our Sleep Medicine fellowship is a multidisciplinary, primarily clinical, ACGME-accredited fellowship.  Rotations during the academic year include adult neurology sleep clinic, adult pulmonology sleep clinic, pediatric sleep clinic, and shorter experiences in behavioral health, psychiatry, ENT, and dentistry.  St. Vincent Hospital hosts a fully AASM accredited sleep center with high volumes of in-lab, overnight polysomnograms, at home sleep testing, as well as other services including MSLT and MWT, each of which the fellow will gain ample experience with interpretation.  There is opportunity to develop clinical research in sleep medicine and to participate in quality improvement initiatives at the program and hospital levels. 

Applications are open those currently enrolled in, or those who have successfully complete, ACGME accredited training programs in the following:  

• Neurology
• Internal Medicine
• Pulmonary/Critical Care
• Family Medicine
• ENT
• Psychiatry

Our fellowship has trained successful sleep medicine physicians for over 15 years, and our fellows have had successful job placement in both private and academic settings. We continue to have a 100% first-time sleep medicine board pass rate.  In past years, our fellows have published book chapters, presented posters and have given platform talks at the annual combined American Academy of Sleep Medicine & Sleep Research Society national meeting.
