Saint Vincent Hospital provides an outstanding opportunity for residents to train in a state-of-the-art tertiary care community hospital setting. The ACGME accredited radiology residency program has 18 total residents.

Our residency program stresses a collaborative and supportive learning environment with active participation and hands-on training directly with Faculty.  There are no Fellows in the program. An Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) track is available. We take pride in providing an extensive and robust didactic curriculum and educational opportunities to provide a path to success.

Program Aims:

  • For our residents to achieve competence and confidence in the practice of diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and interventional procedures for clinical practice.
  • Opportunity and support to obtain outstanding fellowship positions: (see Fellowship Placements)

Residency elements:

  • Core training at SVH
  • 3 months of pediatric radiology rotations at University of Massachusetts Medical Center
  • Yearly educational allowance with support for scholarly activity including national conference attendance
  • Wide breadth and depth of teaching and multi-disciplinary conferences
  • AIRP radiology-pathology correlation course
  • Scholarly activity including national conference attendance
  • Diagnostic and Physics Board Review courses
  • In-house weekly physics course
  • ESIR track (2 positions)
  • R4 Mini-Fellowship and Elective opportunities
  • Additional rotation at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham, MA
